One of the common failures on the Neo Geo AES is the power circuit. Later revisions of the Neo Geo AES use a 9V switching regulator to generate 5V output.
If you accidentally plug in a normal DC power plug (not inverted) you can burn out the diodes on the power rail or the regulator. The regulator can also die over time or become unstable.
This power repair kit refreshes the power regulation circuit with 2 brand new diodes and regulator in identical specs to the original.
Soldering is required.
